Eight Random Facts Meme

Susan at In Over My Head has tagged me with the "eight random facts" meme...

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each participant posts eight random facts about themselves.
3. Tagees should write a blogpost of eight random facts about themselves.
4. At the end of the post, eight more bloggers are tagged (named and shamed).
5. Go to their blog, leave a comment telling them they're tagged (cut and run).

Before I go further, I must note that I'm not exactly sure what is meant by "random" here. Something most people don't know? Something of which I'm proud (or ashamed)? Something from random times and places in life? I'm not clear about this, but I'm just going to muddle through...

1) I'm both an adopted child and an adoptive parent. I've been told it's of crucial, earth-shattering importance that I find and contact my birth parents, but I'll find out soon enough...

2) I drove in the winning run with a walk-off pinch hit in a little league game as a child of about 10. It was a very satisfying experience.

3) I had a dream in May of 2005, where the recently deceased Pope John Paul II appeared to me, and asked me to give him my feet. There are some other details, and I consider it a significant dream, but I'm a little fuzzy on the meaning.

4) I've performed in a dozen different dramatic productions, including Gilbert and Sullivan, a Christian theatre company, and The Promise in Glen Rose, Texas, where I was thrown off a camel.

5) I've had a total of seven blogs since October of 2003. Of those blogs, three are active, but Crossword Bebop is the longest lasting one, about to start it's 22nd month of operation.

6) I've had people tell me I was an Irish priest or a scholarly monk in another life, but I think it's just an alternative metaphor.

7) I've lived in Minnesota for almost eight years, but I still sound like I'm from somewhere else.

8) I visited Minnehaha Falls for the first time this past weekend.
